After receiving Biodynamic training at Anand (Gujarat), in Dec, 2005 I started to perform personally demonstrations of Biodynamic Composting. One such first demonstration on 29th Dec 2005 was conducted at our demonstration farm, nearly 120 extension workers, officers from Agril Department, farmers and reporters from local news papers attended the demonstration. Everybody was eager to listen new subject and the demonstration was under observation for next 3 months and the outcome was the nice compost. I got this compost tested from Govt lab and the result was encouraging.

Meanwhile 300 demonstrations were conducted at farmer’s field during three months. A Biodynamic stall was exhibited at All India Agriculture Exhibition which was held at Latur, home place of Hon Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra where the tremendous response from farmers, media persons was received. Attractive colorful news along with my photograph and compost depot photograph was flashed on the front page in the leading Marathi Daily “Sakal” which is having the highest circulation in Maharashtra. Then I initiated the aggressive extension work and undertaken this task as a biodynamic movement. In the beginning imparted two days training for the whole staff of 72 persons from my office and I have been delivering minimum 4 lecturers daily in each week, either in the villages or in the cities before the elite personalities.

Day by day response to the movement is increasing. I could succeed to spread this movement in whole Marathawada ,(Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Parbhani, Nanded, Osmanabad, and Hingoli), which comprises eight districts, in 10 months through my staff members and voluntary farmers. I have picked all opportunities of participating in all agricultural exhibitions that were held in the region. One such agricultural exhibition was held at Parbhani recently, where Hon Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh,Chief Minister of Maharashtra visited the stall and praised the work and inspired to go ahead.

In February, 2006 a movement of production of CPP was planned and executed through Women’s self help groups, Krishi Vigyan Mandals and farmers so that composting activity got sudden movementum as the basic material is made available locally and presently 1500 biodynamic depots were demonstrated in the region, although my official jurisdiction is only Beed taluka. In my taluka more than 150 Quantals of CPP (I named CPP as Kamdhenu Sidhi-3) was produced under the guidance and supervision of my field staff at farmers’ fields, Hon Agriculture Minister of state Mr Balasaheb Thorat visited one such unit and congratulated the farmers and agril department, Several farmers are using the product for composting, for application on soil during evening hours and using for seed treatment. In the end of April, 2006 a demonstration of BD-501 was conducted at farmers field and during Oct, 2006 several demonstrations of BD-500 were conducted.

Now in villages biodynamic words like CPP, BD-500,501, Liquid Manure, planting by calendar, composting, vortex etc are well known and common farmers are using these words along with following biodynamic practices.

Presently I am writing a book in Marathi to disseminate the subject.
